THE BACKYARD SCHOOL

For 3rd grade I was in a pod with three other kids. What I liked about the pod was that it was right across the street from my house and I ride my bike or scooter there. Before the pandemic, I used to go to Mathews Elementary school. I like it better than Mathews because there are fewer kids in the classes and it has less commotion.  I also liked that we didn't have to wear masks. I learned cursive in my pod school, which I liked because now I can read my mom's hand writing. Another thing I liked about the pod is that I get to sleep in more since it starts at 9. I also feel less tired at the end of the day because the days are shorter than at Mathews. I had an easier time focusing in the pod than I did at Mathews. My favorite subject in third grade was spelling. What I didn't like about the pod school is there were two girls in it, and they annoyed me every chance they get. How I delt with the situation is I do not engage and discuss the issue with my teacher.
